Calf'S Head Hotel - Clitheroe

We had a fantastic experience at calf’s head. the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. the picturesque location offered us stunning scenery and lovely walks, and we enjoyed spending time in the spacious beer garden. our room was clean and comfortable, despite being a bit dated, and the food was hearty and delicious, especially the full english breakfast. it was great to see a popular spot loved by locals as well.

Nothing too much trouble, excellent stay for a wedding in the area. Fairly clean place with pleasant staff and exceptional view of garden and surrounding countryside. Incredible and exceptional meals. Countryside location right by clitheroe and Pendle Hill, the gorgeous walled beer garden and a large conservatory, and neat and budget room. Also, in the restaurant which again the food was very tasty.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! I tried the fish and chips, which were massive and satisfying. The beer selection was also nice, making my evenings enjoyable after a long day.

My room faced the back, so I woke up early to the sounds of extractors. The mattress could’ve used some improvement as it felt a bit worn out in the middle. a nice stay but a few tweaks would make it even better!

Small double rooms overpriced and claustrophobic!!! Peeling paint and outdated decor contribute to an overall dreary atmosphere!!! Basic facilities could use a modern touch!!!

The large garden provides ample seating for summer days, perfect for a drink while taking in views. The location offers scenic views of Pendle Hill from the conservatory dining area.

The building shows its age, with dated fixtures and well-worn carpets that could use a refresh. Some rooms apparently lack space, with reports of cramped conditions that might be less than ideal for couples. The breakfast selection is somewhat lacking for a continental option, only offering cereals and toast, which may disappoint if you're expecting a hearty start to the day.

The room was well equipped n nicely decorated, also had lots of storage space. The food in the restaurant was really good with generous portions. Breakfast was perfectly cooked with proper toast. I really loved the views from the restaurant conservatory, they were lovely! Staff seemed friendly n helpful.

This place was just a balanced option for a city holiday in Clitheroe with good value. The staff were pleasant and helpful, though the food was a letdown. Make sure to check the dining options nearby for better choices.

Super spacious suite!

We stayed one night in a large beautiful suite with a spa bath. The room was really nice and loads of space. The staff were super friendly and the food was awesome! The garden area was a great spot to relax too. Only bummer was the sloped ceiling in the bedroom area-not great if you're tall.
